Position Summary:

The Retail Property Manager will oversee a portfolio of multiple retail centers, working in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role requires an active Virginia Real Estate License as of the start date, and candidates must be comfortable being on-call for property emergencies. Travel within the Metro DC area is required.

Responsibilities of the Property Manager:

Perform monthly property inspections to uphold quality standards
Manage rent collection processes, prepare monthly financial reports, and ensure accurate financial tracking
Serve as the primary contact for all tenant, vendor, and property owner communications
Ensure lease compliance, handle documentation requirements, and oversee issues such as defaults, insurance certificates, and gross sales tracking
Support financial operations including annual reconciliations, budgeting, accounts receivable/payable coding, collections, cash flow management, and property tax assessments
Manage vendor partnerships, including contract agreements, bid evaluations, and insurance compliance
Lead construction projects related to tenant or landlord improvements, and oversee associated capital expenditures
Prioritize tenant retention initiatives and maintain accurate, up-to-date tenant documentation
