Job Overview:
We are looking for an entry-level Bookkeeper to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to gain experience in bookkeeping and financial record-keeping. The Bookkeeper will help with basic financial tasks like recording transactions, processing payments, and keeping financial records up to date. No prior bookkeeping experience is required, but a strong willingness to learn and a basic understanding of numbers and organization are important.
Duties:
- Record and organize financial transactions such as payments and invoices.
- Greet staff as they enter the building
- Help track expenses and income to keep financial records accurate.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accounts match up correctly.
- Assist in preparing simple financial reports like balance sheets and income statements.
- Process payments and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Keep financial documents organized and up to date.
- Assist with payroll processing and basic data entry tasks.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payment details.
- Support the team with other general administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of numbers and organization.
- No prior bookkeeping experience is required, but any accounting or finance knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is helpful.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Good communication skills to work with team members and vendors.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
